  • To develop a dictionary of personal competencies.
Objectives
  • To develop a personal competences dictionary:
    • for use as a developmental tool
    • for use in selection and recruitment.
    • for use in an appraisal system
Process of delivery
  • By working with an expert interview panel structured interviews were carried out to develop the model.
  • The project leader interviewed the key managers and the expert panel to ascertain their views.
  • After collating all of this information, KBA facilitated a group with responsibility for building up the model.
  • Once completed, the directory was issued to all employees.
Outcomes
  • A model was created which had involved everyone.
  • This involvement led to their commitment to the model.
  • The model was used in the areas identified in the objectives of the projects.
Duration of Project
  • 6 months period/ fortnightly involvement.
